    A 23-year-old volume residential builder in Victoria and Queensland. Employment ended due to company going into liquidation.During my term at Porter Davis, I had converted an isolated disengaged function into a centralised shared service. As a service provider we would continuously be engaged with the internal stakeholders, receiving and providing constant constructive feedback and reporting regularly to enable continuous improvement, hunt efficiencies and ensuring ongoing productivity. Focus of the role was transitioning the function from being transactional purchasing to strategic procurement, with emphasis on setting up great relationships with our strategic partners. Hence why I had recruited supplier relationship managers and not category managers into the procurement role. It was essential that we had the right suppliers partnering with the business. Using KPIs and continuous reviews, we would monitor the supplier performance and manage any challenges as partners.I had drafted contract templates to suit different types of engagements ensuring (a) for each type of contract that the rights and liabilities of the business are adequately protected and (b) a clear and detailed scope of works, committed lead times, commercial remuneration terms as well as relevant measurable KPIs with applicable incentives, was incorporated. Each contract was negotiated with focus on best value for a long-term engagement and was managed by the respective supplier relationship manager who owned the relationship with the supplier partner.Process Automation was also a big rock for this role. We used SAP data analytics where we were able to provide better forecasting and predictability to stakeholders. I had also designed a contract management tool that archived all our contracts in a centralised location providing visibility to high level detail on each contract as well as relevant alerts to ensure contracts and milestones are adequately maintained.
