As the Staff Accountant for Unicep, I have the opportunity to interact with all departments of the company. There are many seasoned professionals in the company to work along side and the company is in a growth trend. Processing in-house payroll, taxes & filings is about 1/2 of my job. I am in a unique and gratifying position to evaluate processes and implement time-saving tools. I get the most satisfaction from helping others in the organization.My experience with Sage 100 and Crystal Reports provides a great support to improve reporting and information-presentation and I look forward to seeing those results. Learning about the packaging industry is exciting & challenging.

Established and maintained the accounting system, processes & procedures as this great company grew. I use benchmarks to analyse trends and anomalies in sales, COGS and expenses. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, sales reports, and other ad hoc managerial data presentations. I reconcile and manage balance sheet accounts. Month-end & year-end reporting to include 1099 reporting and W2 verification. I work closely with our CPA.Supervise accounting and timekeeping functions. Established SOP for customer service, receiving, accounting, payroll, and inventory database management. Developed and maintained 3rd party relationships with Insurance, retirement, payroll and banking partners with a biannual critical review.Working closely with Rob (IT), coordinated AIS maintenance and updates for Sage100 by creating and following an organized plan. Improved customer service, billing and shipping functions by adding custom UDF fields, forms and dynamic reports in Sage100. I provide support to other departments by streamlining tasks.As my role changes, I find that I miss some things, but enjoy seeing others get the opportunity to grow. I am also trying to find ways for myself to grow at work. As a go-to person at StrongBox, I often provide answers and assistance to my team members and business partners. I know how to investigate quickly and folks know I most-always have or find the right answer.
