As a Materials Science Engineering student, I will go above and beyond when I am given projects. My enrollment in the College of Engineering not only proves that I am a capable engineer, but it also shows that I have strong work ethic, and that I have a passion for engineering. Through engineering, I plan to leave a positive impact on the world. In addition to my major in engineering, I will receive a minor in horticulture. It is my goal to combine both my engineering and agricultural education to improve America's agricultural climate. More specifically, I would like to innovate agricultural systems, develop crops that produce better crop yield, and overall implement additional agricultural methods that will increase the amount of food and products available to the nation.I have previous experience with engineering through hands on activities like engineering coursework and robotics. I also have agricultural experience. I was on a world-qualified robotics team. I was also an active member in FFA and I was the second place team and individual in the FFA Agronomy CDE. Overall, my previous achievements demonstrate how I strive for excellence. I will continue to push myself in both my higher education and future career.
