First, I did it for Red Bull, then Ray-Ban and SanDisk, then Media Temple and most recently for GoDaddy acquired, Pagely.Yes, even the most commoditized SaaS products can be cool, yes it can be measured, yes experiential/partnerships/community drives growth, and I've led many teams that have done it, and have done it with tiny budgets and massive budgets. I’ve made unknown things cool (Red Bull circa 2000) and I’ve made uncool things cool (web hosting) and now I’m back to the consumer products world where I’m lucky enough to be in a spot where I’m maintaining— Kid Robot, Neca, Graceland, Loot Crate— already the coolest.
