Joining Hospiscare at such a key time, just before it's new centre was opened by HRH Princess Sophie, the organisation was awarded the Queens Award for Volunteering and it celebrating its 30th Year, I managed a number of key communications and projects. This included modernising some of the branding and methods of communication to reach a younger and new audience. Key responsibilities• Managed all of the design, marketing and communication for one of Devon’s largest and most highly respected charities. I also had to manage the brand and photography.• Oversaw a number of staff to ensure that all of the media was to brand and to my high standard.• Advised and trained staff within all departments concerning all publications and media.• Represent the charity at a number of large scale events and with dignitaries, fundraisers and famous guests, also acting as the charities photographer at the same time or managing the local media.• Managed the content and design of the charity’s direct mail campaigns, including one which was sent out to over 30,000 households.Key achievements• 450% increase in Facebook followers within a year of the previously stagnant page.• Introduced the highly successful yearly events guide, social media diary and new design direction for a number of publications, including the newsletter.• Was asked to create the HEAL logo on behalf of Hospiscare and two other Hospices based on my logos for the Mens’ Walk, the Ladies Midnight Walk and the Skydive event for Hospiscare.
