Passionate and dedicated, Lily is currently a student pursuing a B.Sc. in Biology at the University of Victoria. The academic journey has equipped her with a solid foundation in molecular biology, genetics, ecology, and more. Beyond academia, Lily's commitment to learning and collaboration is evident through volunteer experiences with UVic’s Environmental Restoration Club and the Chapter of the Wildlife Society. These experiences have afforded her the privilege of gaining insights into current research and conservation efforts in British Columbia.In her role as an Aquatic Biologist with Palmer, Lily has gained valuable hands-on field experience, travelling to remote locations throughout British Columbia. Collaborating within a team, she successfully contributed to the completion of environmental surveys, assessments, trapping, genetic sampling, water quality testing, electrofishing, and biomonitoring. The hybrid work environment at Palmer provided opportunities to develop and enhance skills in environmental field program planning, safety project planning, data organization, and technical report writing.Lily is enthusiastic about leveraging her academic knowledge and practical experiences to contribute to the field of aquatic biology and environmental conservation. The combination of a strong academic background and practical skills acquired in field conditions positions her as a dedicated and resourceful professional in the realm of environmental science.
