Volunteering at RMIT's student-run, vegan and organic cafe allowed me to learn about cooking ethically as well as how to work with people from different parts of the world. Food is something we all need and love, and it can be an important way to combat climate change.

Volunteering at Greenlink Nursery Box Hill was a great opportunity to interact with elderly members of the community, a group which I don't usually have the chance to talk to. I also learnt skills in maintaining a nursery and garden, and how to care for native plant species. This was an eye-opening experience where I gained valuable insight into different perspectives and fields of practice.
