Student Administrative Assistant for the Virginia Education Science Training Program (VEST). VEST is a doctoral fellowship program training the next generation of education science researchers. Role of a student assistant: • Assist with coordination of events, including speaker series and graduate student workshops• Developing a survey to compile data to be used in a grant proposal• Communicating with faculty, staff, students, and alumni

The data analytics internship program provides students with an interest in sports analytics an opportunity to learn more about the field. Interns are responsible for tracking game data and working with players andcoaches to integrate it in a way that improves the team and individual players’ skills.Role of a data analytics intern:• Charting pitchers during home and away games, helping identify pitch types and build adatabase for each player• Logging pitch radar data in Microsoft Excel and using data to help players improve their velocity andaction• Tracking home games using Pointstreak to provide accurate play-by-play reports
