I am a recent graduate of Marist College looking for opportunities in the fashion industry. During my time at Marist, I majored in fashion merchandising and minored in business and graphic design. As a recent graduate, I reflect on some amazing experiences I’ve had the past four years. Throughout my sophomore-senior year I participated in the Fashion Show Production Class. This class is responsible for planning the all-student-run fashion show, The Silver Needle Runway. I began as the Student Digital Branding Coordinator my sophomore year. I was responsible for creating promotional content which reflected SNR as a brand. I became the Student Branding Logistics Assistant my junior year. In this position, I planned events to foster excitement amongst the Marist and local community for the show. During my senior year, I had the honor of becoming the Student Production Director. Taking on this role was a challenge for me since I had been on the Branding Team the previous two years, however, it was extremely rewarding. As the Student Production Director I led a team of three assistants and four coordinators. It was our team’s job to ensure a smooth production process for each promotional shoot and on the day of show. During my junior and senior year I was the digital intern for Bluemercury. In this role, I learned what it takes to maintain a website and manage a high volume of products. My first summer in the internship, I focused on the marketing side. I learned about search engine optimization and got the chance to write some ad copy. I was able to take on more responsibility the next summer. My biggest project was creating the “Trending Page” where trending products live on the website.The highlight of my four years at Marist was the fall semester of my junior year where I had the chance to study abroad in Florence, Italy. I immersed myself in different cultures and broadened my worldview. I navigated different countries and languages which instilled resilience and resourcefulness. I loved learning about the history and art in Florence both in and outside of the classroom.I am looking forward to using my experiences to thrive in my next chapter. I am an ambitious, reliable, and creative individual who is eager to share her skills with the fashion industry.
