I worked as a Group Counselor for Currey Ingram Academy’s ADHD Summer Treatment Program for six weeks. The STP is designed for students ages 8-12 with ADHD. Along with the other counselors, I helped facilitate group discussions and activities, played games, did art projects, and mentored a group of students in social skills, problem-solving, and self-regulation strategies.

As a Nonprofit Administration Intern at People Loving Nashville, I participated in volunteer events and outreaches, performed administrative tasks, and helped develop a comprehensive rent support application and review procedure.

Starting in the fall 2023 semester, I have worked as a tutor for Lipscomb University's Writing Studio. Here, I use my personal knowledge and skills to work with peers one-on-one to refine and develop their ideas for various projects. As a tutor, I do not simply edit work, but collaborate with clients to help them express their ideas effectively. It is a position that not only requires proficiency in writing, but also people skills!

I worked as a camp counselor for Camp Hunt's 2023 overnight session. I was also an admin for Camp Hunt's social media pages, especially Instagram, from January-August 2023. Through social media, I helped with community outreach and engagement. As a camp counselor, I worked with a team of other college-aged people to help run the summer program. Individually, I was responsible for the well-being and holistic growth of a cabin of up to 7 girls each week. The campers were anywhere from 8 to 18 years old. I developed skills in faith-based education, outdoor recreation, conflict management, and relationship building.

I worked as an outdoor educator in Yarmouth Port, MA for the tail end of the spring season. I was trained to teach 4th-8th-grade-students about topics such as ecology, environmental science, and social-emotional learning. I was able to gain experience in education and working with youth.

As an intern for the Tennessee Environmental Council, I worked under the Tennessee Tree Program Manager and assisted with clerical and administrative duties pertaining to Tennessee Tree Day.

As an employee for Colonie Youth Center, I was placed at a local elementary school to assist with supervision for before- and after-school programs. I learned how to manage large groups of 4-12-year-olds, and also how to interact with them one-on-one and develop meaningful connections.
