The Foundation Communities Tax Help Program offers free tax preparation to people in the Austin community. I led a team of phone and transmitting staff to provide client support and oversee transmission of approximately 20,000 clients’ tax returns annually to the IRS. In this role, I also served as an authority on tax software and technical issues. Between tax seasons, I worked with program directors to plan the seasonal program’s budget, staffing, training and other logistics. I also helped to develop an annual video training curriculum for staff and volunteers, including pre-production planning, script writing, filming and editing. Additionally, I created graphic design for tax center materials, and managed external communications for the program, including social media channels, phone, and website.

As a Video Editing Intern with Austin Film Festival, I edited filmmaker Q&As for the 2020 Austin Film Festival and Writer’s Conference. I also produced creative videos for festival marketing and for use during the virtual festival’s events.

CCTV is a public access TV station where members of the community come to learn hands-on about film and media production. As Social Media Coordinator, I created text, graphics, and video clips for daily posts to CCTV’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram accounts. I coordinated with staff in all departments to execute a social media strategy to engage the organization’s membership and increase event attendance.

As Programming Coordinator, I offered technical training and assistance to members and volunteers on the use of cameras, editing software and other broadcast equipment. I managed the broadcast operations of CCTV’s live television studio and three 24-hour television channels, as well as regular media submissions from hundreds of film and television producers. I supervised one staff member and ten weekly interns and volunteers, and trained the successive Programming Coordinator in all aspects of the position.As part of a strategy to make CCTV’s content more accessible to viewers, I implemented new archival systems for CCTV's video archive of approximately 30 years of content, and created a new on-demand viewing channel on YouTube. I launched video, social media and print marketing campaigns to increase program membership and participation.

LEFT ON PEARL is a documentary film, produced by the 888 Women's History Project, about the 1971 Women’s March & building takeover by hundreds of women - an action which lead to the founding of Cambridge’s Women’s Center. I worked with the LEFT ON PEARL documentary filmmakers and producers to plan and execute digital marketing strategies for the film. This included administering the social media channels, website, and newsletter.

As a post production intern with the Austin Film Society, I cut original trailers to advertise upcoming films playing at the AFS Cinema. I also created promotional videos to advertise AFS membership and services, and filmed and edited footage from live cinema events, such as special screenings and filmmaker Q&As.

As Operations Manager for Metro Pedal Power - a last-mile bicycle-powered delivery service connecting New England farms to Greater Boston families and restaurants - I organized and planned the company's daily routes. I directed MPP's team of drivers and troubleshooted issues, trained new employees, and maintained relationships with business partners and customers. I worked with the Executive Director to improve and grow the business, and managed business accounting, including payroll and client invoicing. I also rode delivery routes as needed, driving trikes, trailers and cargo bikes to deliver freight from farms and other local businesses to residents, stores and restaurants.

I worked with Open View Farm's farmers to cultivate and harvest crops and to sell vegetables and meat at two weekly farmers markets. As part of my work on the farm, I also served as a camp counselor at Farm School Camp OUT, where I supervised children ages 8-18 and led discussions about growing up in LGBTQ families.
