As the Assistant Director of Career Development, I have three primary duties: Meeting with students as a career coach, connecting Lipscomb students to employers, and managing our office's communication and marketing plan. Career coaching services include resume and cover letter editing, LinkedIn development, career planning, job search tools, and mock interviews. I equip students to confidently take their first steps into the professional world.Upon starting this position, I utilized the skills I learned a public relations student to conduct an assessment of existing communication and identified new strategic goals. I created communication and marketing plans based on those goals. Currently, I design the majority of our infographics, write emails, manage our social media, foster relationships between my office and other departments, and coordinate workshops and events.Whether I am coaching students one-on-one or presenting in a class, student success and tangible results are my core motivations.

Bespoke Expressions is a speech writing, editing, and consulting agency that helps people find words worthy of the love in their hearts. I founded this company during college with the purpose of helping clients who are afraid of public speaking find confidence. My specialty is writing speeches for weddings and funerals. People involved in these events have to manage tumultuous life transitions and the fear of public speaking at the same time. I meet with them in a low-pressure environment and help them learn to tell their story beautifully.Creating this company has compelled me to develop business and marketing skills I could not have learned without the challenge of entrepreneurship. Within the company's first year, I competed in four business pitch competitions and won the seed capital necessary to develop my own website and marketing materials and attend the Nashville Bridal and Wedding Expo. In 2023, I developed a Vow Writing Guide to help brides and grooms overcome their initial writing hurtles.

As a public relations intern, I supported the publicity team with a blend of creative innovation and attention to detail. I tracked client's media placements, compiled media lists and reports, and assisted with two red carpet premiere events. This internship utilized and stretched my persuasive writing skills as I analyzed client's books and films and crafted persuasive quotes, pitches and press kits.

As a Quest Team Member, I served alongside a team of 30 student leaders to welcome new students to Lipscomb. This role included event planning for orientations and welcome week, as well as social media marketing and public speaking as I engaged with students virtually and during events.
