Working at Doula For The People involves a dynamic and impactful role where I contribute to the organization’s mission of making postpartum support and prenatal education accessible to all parents, regardless of socioeconomic status, gender/biological sex, race, or ethnicity. My responsibilities include:-Onboarding new board members: Ensuring a smooth and informative introduction to our mission, values, and operational procedures.-Creating and designing the operations manual: Developing comprehensive guidelines to streamline our processes and enhance organizational efficiency.-Managing note-taking and calendar of action items: Keeping meticulous records of meetings and ensuring timely follow-up on key tasks and initiatives.-Supporting the founder: Assisting in initiatives aimed at expanding accessibility to postpartum support and prenatal education, fostering an inclusive environment for all parents.This role allows me to be at the forefront of promoting maternal health and wellness, while actively participating in the fight against systemic oppression and implicit bias in maternal healthcare12.

-Developed strategies that enhanced parent involvement by 50%, engaged donors to fund $10,000 work of gymnastics programming, plan annual fundraising events, and ensure financial health by approving budgets and monitoring spending.-Collaborate with city officials and local businesses to launch a community helper reader program, utilize strategic outreach program for teacher appreciation that improved well being and relationships with families.-Organize and lead up to 12 community events a year, manage logistics and drive parent engagement, and increase attendance by 80% at family events.-Chair meetings, lead presentations, and provide direction for the organization's strategy through collaborative decision-making.
