Hi! I am Lily Grayem, a second-year accounting student in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. As far back as I can remember I have always had a passion for numbers. I love finding solutions and problem solving using rational thinking and numbers-based approaches. In my time at Miami, I have been given the opportunity to expand on these skills specifically during the Client challenge I participated in during my second semester of freshman year. This project consisted of working with a group to develop an expansion plan for prominent solar infrastructure company, through collaboration with my teammates and careful analysis of the data we were given, my team was able to finish in the top 7 teams out of 132. This project helped me grow my knowledge in so many ways and strengthened my public speaking and team collaboration skills.This past summer I completed an internship for the Schottenstein Property Group as a leasing agent. I am so thankful for being given the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a field I had previously not known much about. Looking forward into this upcoming summer, I am looking for an internship more aligned with my major in the accounting field. Whether it's through internships, networking events, or extracurricular activities, I am eager to expand my knowledge and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in accounting.I believe in the power of collaboration and am excited to connect with professionals, fellow students, and mentors who share similar interests.
