Work included set out, framing, papering, doors and window installation, flashings, cladding and interiour finishing (achetraves, trim).After sustaining an ACC injury from a recreational activity in June 2019, I was off the tools but undertook some project management training on behalf of my employer for a residential build in Hawea. I learned a good deal about council inspections and coordinating with subcontractors and QLDC.

My responsibilities included field work (subsurface exploration drilling, shoring construction observation including stressing tiebacks, obtaining readings from automated piezometric data loggers), writing field reports to document field work, reducing groundwater data, technical analysis (slope stability and groundwater modeling), project management support (drafting contract amendments and review letters), and soil laboratory support (running sieves, classifying soils, atterberg limits, prepping samples).

I assisted Professor Donald Janssen with validating his research on the reuse of waste water in new concrete. Waste water is produced from washing out concrete trucks or from controlling dust when concrete is being grinded (maintenance procedure) and cut (to make the joints in roads). Wastewater mainly contains the dust/fines of aggregates and hydrated cement. There is an ASTM limit on the amount of fines allowed in concrete mixtures ~ 5%. The study I worked on on shows that by using waste water properties such as pH, conductivity, and index of refraction, you can predict the effect of incorporating this wastewater into concrete. Previous and current research indicated you can safely add more than 5% fines into a concrete mixture without resulting in detrimental loss of strength and reduced set times. Ultimately, our findings may promote the use of more wastewater into new concrete, reducing fresh water consumption.In February, I ran several linear regression analyses in order to refine the existing model. In Spring, I coordinated the installation of the pH, conductivity, and index of refraction probes at the Stoneway Concrete Renton plant. By mid October, we have run 3 field validation tests.

Monitored Seattle traffic patterns and remotely responded to incidents such a traffic accidents, stalls, debris in the roadway, roadwork, etc. Wrote technical reports analyzing and proposing improvements to parameters involving ramp meters. Compiled, organized, and disseminated congestion information to the public. Improved existing Traffic Management Software (TMS) with software development team using C++.

Bellingham, Wa

Instructed kids between the ages 8 to 16 on how to not only sail, but also take care of the boats and equipment, navigate, and follow the rules of conduct out on the water. Responsible for the safety of the kids, care of equipment, and the creation of daily lesson plans taking into account weather and tides.

University Of Washington

Tasked with improving the productivity of their Dial-A-Ride program -- providing people with disabilities transportation to and from university campus. Collaborated and consulted with Yale University and King County Metro. Ultimately proposed a financially feasible software upgrade solution.

Designed and implemented a new website for the Vetiver Network. The website has since been further and improved by a third party.
