During my years as a Resident Advisor, I created and maintained a safe and welcoming housing experience for 60+ undergraduates in the Sophomore Experience and 22 upperclassmen and Masters students. I routinely handled and de-escalated resident conflicts, aided in mental health crises, reported facility issues for repair, and attended monthly professional development meetings on public speaking, branding, and DEI. I have planned and hosted 24+ programs on topics of financial literacy, sleep deprivation, and wellness practices. This often required budgeting, checking inventory, and working with catering and external vendors.

Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, I was hired by the Cultural Society "CSEBRI" as the lead exhibit designer and fabricator throughout the first visioning phase for a traveling AAPI Museum in Rhode Island. This exhibit will supplement public schools' AAPI curriculum and offer an accessible and hands on way of learning to children and families.Starting with Chinese American History Traveling Exhibit prototype in Rhode Island, I consulted with local Providence historical archives, special collections, the MOCA, and academic experts in AAPI history and museum design. The project was self-directed and collaborated with a Brown University Research Fellow, Indigo Mudbhary. After having compiled and organized Chinese American history into 7-8 different time periods and themes, I constructed a scale model intended to be displayed across Providence Public Libraries. The project is ongoing and has since been taken up by new artists.

Over the course of the pandemic and post-pandemic, I aided 8+ asynchronous and synchronous remote art classes for RISD's Continuing Education Program for high school students and adults. Subject matters included: Animation, Architecture, Comic Storyboarding, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and Live Action Film. I supported instructors with curating their Canvas pages and curriculums to best optimize the virtual teaching format. I was entrusted in grading weekly reading assignments and sketching exercises, and often wrote students individualized feedback. I held weekly office hours on Zoom and troubleshot technological issues related to assignment uploading.

In collaboration with another intern, Megan Holzrichter, I completed a set of architectural illustrations featuring 21st century style K-12 learning spaces for presentation and community forums in the Bristol-Warren and Whitman Massachusetts school districts. I researched design best practices in educational spaces, met with superintendents and principals of 5+ schools, conducted site visits, and documented site conditions.I assisted CIVIC and Ai3 Architects in guiding a series of faculty, student, and stakeholder visioning workshops and community meetings in Whitman Middle School during the early development stage to identify goals, design opportunities, and amenity deficiencies.Completed a variety of tasks set out by supervisor including presentation and report writing, workshop debriefing, graphic design, diagramming for an upcoming development revitalization project on Public St., several schematic backyard renovation plans, and sourcing bathroom products and tiling.
