Mentor: Stephanie Stephens Conducted 2D seismic balancing, phase rotation, and well-to-seismic ties to build a geophysically consistent seismic database that enabled the Regional GOM Team to map lithologic and sequence stratigraphic surfaces throughout the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Updated gross depositional environment maps for Mesozoic units of interest throughout the eastern Gulf of Mexico to aid in ongoing prospect maturation, assist in future lease sale efforts, and identify potential farm-in opportunitiesSkills developed: seismic conditioning methods (frequency filtering, phase rotating, time-shifting); well-to-seismic ties; gravity & magnetic data interpretation; and gross depositional environment map construction
