I'm a creative professional with 20+ years of experience working with children in art and movement spaces. My current roles involve teaching Yoga and Art to middle at high school students at Fusion Academy in Walnut Creek, teaching Yoga at Indigo Yoga in Walnut Creek, and working part-time as Program Director at Gaia Guides Kids Camp in the summer. Since 2003 I've dedicated my career to introducing movement and creativity to children ages 3 to 18. I began as a ballet substitute teacher and ballet class piano accompanist before gaining experience teaching formal art classes and working behind the scenes at an art gallery during college. After graduating with my Bachelors from Saint Mary's College of California, I worked at the Graduate Theological Union under the direction of CARe (Center for the Arts, Religion, and Education). This position allowed me to gain experience with grant writing, building connections with other Bay Area museums and art institutions, managing an art gallery space, managing an exhibition schedule, and producing original web design and print/web materials for the GTU. Since 2018 I've been in the classroom teaching 1:1 and working as the Electives Department Head for Fusion Academy in Walnut Creek. I really enjoy taking a break from my desk and teaching standup paddling on the water every summer as Program Director for Adventures 4 Kidz. Let's connect!
