My name is Lily Park and I am currently a Senior at the University of Maryland, studying Digital Media Communications and Minoring in Spanish. At UMD, I am a campus tour guide as well as an active member of PSA club (preventing sexual assault). Throughout the last three years, I have combined major-related coursework with jobs and internships to further my knowledge in the field of communication. Freshman year I began interning for FlipRings, where I created content and helped grow brand awareness on their social media accounts. Alongside this, I worked retail as a stylist at Free People. I then transitioned to working as a Host at Food & Thought 2, where I've gained invaluable customer service, communication, and food service experience. In addition, this summer I have also started a new position as the Marketing Intern for Beyond Juicery + Eatery. I have already learned so much in the field of digital marketing through this internship, as well as coordinated various marketing events, conducted both in person and online surveys, and created campaigns and graphics to boost sales. I hope to further apply what I have learned from this internship, and expand my knowledge of communication and marketing in a full time roll next spring. Outside of work and academics, I enjoy working out, going to the beach in Naples, and exploring the fashion world. Additionally, last Spring, I studied abroad in Barcelona, where I was able to practice my Spanish and immerse myself into the Catalan culture -- truly the most valuable experience.
