2022 Graduate from Boston University with a B.A. in Economics and concentration in African American Studies. I enjoy utilizing a variety of evidence-based research methods when advocating for equity. Since the Summer of 2023, I have been working at the Urban Institute’s Metropolitain Housing and Communities Policy Center. There I have assisted with quantitative data collection and analysis for two evaluations of supportive housing programs, one being an RCT evaluation and the other a quasi-experimental design. Through this opportunity I have developed my Stata skills in looping and programing to clean complicated data sets and automate outputting tables with summary statistics in excel. I have also worked on a project aiming to connect Black, Indigenous, and Latino folks to federal funding opportunities using community engaged methods so they can facilitate development of their own communities. Through this project I was able to work with partners developing logic models as well as facilitate community-based planning discussions involving personal narratives and qualitative data. The knowledge I gained while working with the Urban Institute has prepared me with research skills and real-life applications.
