I am currently heading into my 3B term of Honours Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Currently, I am completing my fifth co-op at Hatch in the Tailings group as a Geotechnical Tailings Student.I completed my fourth co-op term at SLR Consulting as and Environmental Engineering Co-op in the Land Quality and Remediation team. In this role I completed many groundwater sampling and environmental drilling programs. I also aided in gathering report resources as needed and used several data entry and organizational tools.I have also gained other consulting experience as an Environmental Intern at Englobe where I gained experience in field work (environmental and geotechnical drilling, test pitting, Phase I ESA site assessments, groundwater sampling) and technical report writing (Phase I/One ESA, Phase II, Remediation report). Additionally, I worked as a Construction Project Coordinator at Liberty Power where I was able to grow my knowledge of the renewables industry and learn about contract and project management while working remote on a wind turbine construction project in the United States.Before that I had a co-op experience as an Environmental Master Plan Intern at the City of Windsor. In this position I focused on research to aid in implementing a municipally led housing retrofit program. I also used science-based methodologies (OPCC and D2020) to calculate emissions reduction goals and developed educational campaigns for the community surrounding climate-related emergency preparedness. Through these positions I was able to develop my ability to adapt to changing workplace tasks and work in interdisciplinary teams to solve problems.I have a passion for learning and forming connections with my community which drives my desire to use engineering principles that can reduce the impact that human activities have on the quality of our environment.I am interested in growing my knowledge of water resource use and modelling through future employment. I look forward to exploring the many avenues that an environmental engineering student can pursue.
