As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at St. Luke's Health System, I provide comprehensive and compassionate care to children and adolescents with neurobehavioral disorders. I conduct diagnostic assessments, prescribe medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.I have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Eastern Kentucky University, where I specialized in Psychiatric Mental Health advanced practice nursing. I also have over nine years of experience as a Registered Nurse, working in Medical and Surgical ICUs and Medical Imaging Nursing. I have developed strong skills in nursing, critical care, and psychiatric care, as well as a passion for helping patients and their families cope with mental health challenges.I have often been described as a bowl in a china closet due to my natural state being somewhat against the grain. I am more than meets they eye and certainly not what one would typically expect when seeking psychiatric care, and I feel that this is my biggest strength.
