Conduct market analysis on the training equipment in these four trades that the project aims to support and a cross-cutting area – machinery operation, repair and maintenance. The work also involves assessing the existing status of the equipment inthe targeted TVET colleges and professional training centers (PTCs) and prepare a list of needed equipment for main stream and special needs students training requirements. The upgradation of equipment shall meet the development of industrial practices in thecountry that may in future capture the trend abroad. A special attention shall be given to the more advanced equipment Industry 4.0 upgradation needs for turning selected TVET colleges and PTCs into centers of excellence. Based on the list of needed equipment, I prescribe the types, prototype specifications, and quantities that will inform the preparation of a procurement plan in collaboration with the procurement consultants and the cost estimates in collaboration with a costing consultant. I cooperated with the civil work consultants to inform any needs on architectural reconstruction and renovation, for the targeted TVET colleges and PTCs to allow the accommodation and smooth arrangements of the new equipment. I have supported the procurement consultants to prepare the bidding documents for procuring the advanced packages of the equipment, including the contractual parts for installation, training, and maintenance within a reasonable number of years. On the National level I was Singapore Technical and Covering VIP Delegates leading the Singapore Technical Team to Singapore’s maiden participation in both the 7th and 8th ASEAN Skill Competitions (ASC). Over four years (2007 – 2010) in the two competitions have won for Singapore, Four Gold Medals, Five Diploma of Excellences and a Best of Nation Awards in the 7th ASC held in Malaysia on 10 November 2008 and Two Gold, One Silver, Four Bronze medals and six Medallions of Excellence in the 8th ASC held in Thailand in November 2010. For the 9th ASC held in Jakarta 2012, Ｉ ｈａｖｅ ｌｅａｄ ｔｈｅ Ｔｅａｍ Ｓｉｎｇａｐｏｒｅ ｔｏ garner seven medals - 4 Golds, 3 Bronzes, and 5 Medallions for Excellence. The 4 Golds are for Caring, Cooking, Hairdressing and IT Network Systems Administration, while the 3 Bronzes are for Beauty Therapy, Industrial Automation and IT Network Systems Administration.
