I was trying to update my LinkedIn Profile, and I ponder hard on what I could write in the summary section about what I do. I don't want to exaggerate of who I truly am. ( some stuff I see on Linkedln such as "Successfully Managing Transformation Projects in APAC region" - of course, there is some truth since Singapore is in APAC).I wanted something closer and nearer to the ground that defines what I do. I found it - that word is the basis of what I studied and trained for, and back to the basics. That word is "Engineer". - A person whose job is to design or build machines, engines, or electrical equipment, or things such as roads, railways, or bridges, using scientific principles:In my case, the programs, the computer systems.Engineer is a professional discipline, often which we have forgotten about. I hope, I can hold dear to the discipline and creed of Engineering and apply it proudly.I hope my work exhibits good evidence of this and I can proudly say I am an 'en·juh·neer'.
