As a CTRS, I regularly plan and facilitate groups that promote feelings of self-worth, self-determination, reduced stress, positive social engagement, feelings of hope, cognitive skills, healthy leisure habits, leisure skills, leisure awareness and positive coping skills to support long-term recovery. At Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation, care was offered mainly to spinal cord injury and stroke patients. As a CTRS, I planned and facilitated groups that promoted physical fitness, muscle strength, gross and fine motor skills,self-expression, feelings of independence, reduced isolation and positive social engagement.
