Linar is a Senior Research and Program Associate at the Stratbase Group where she works across three organizations, namely the think tank Stratbase Albert del Rosario Institute for Strategic and International Studies, and the consultancy arms Philippine Stratbase Consultancy and BowerGroupAsia Philippines. Prior to joining Stratbase, Linar worked for the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting peace and development in the Southern Philippines. Among her major assignments involved the completion of two research studies on violent extremism and terrorism in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, which necessitated travels in local conflict-ridden communities, which allowed her to have a comprehensive understanding of the political, socio-cultural, economic, and security landscape of the region. While working at PCID, Linar also served as a part-time research assistant at the Ateneo Leong Institute for Global and Area Studies, Ateneo Institute of Philippine Culture, Human Security Advocates, and the National Citizens' Movement for Free Elections. In these roles, she was involved in several research projects covering various topics, including voter registration costs, climate security, and geopolitical risks. Linar's expertise has led to invitations to speak on various platforms, both domestically and internationally. Notably, she was invited as a speaker at the 3rd ASEAN–US Regional Workshop on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism in Bali, Indonesia. Linar is also a sitting member of the Youth Sounding Boarding of the Delegation of the European Union in the Philippines, primarily tasked with advising the Delegation on the design and implementation of development cooperation initiatives, particularly regarding green economy, peace and security, and good governance.Linar earned her bachelor's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations with a Specialization in East and Southeast Asian Studies from the Ateneo de Manila University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
