Betty has dual appointment from the Interdisciplinary Program Office to run the Dual-Degree Program in T&M and an appointment from the School of Business & Management for consulting courses for post-graduate students. In her role as faculty for the Dual-Degree Program (DDP), she develops experiential learning in subjects such as consulting, product design and startup business plan development. As the Assoc. Director of DDP, she overseas day-to-day operation of the office including recruitment of adjunct faculty and program staff, recruitment of high caliber students from local and overseas, recruitment of executive speakers, management of university partner relationships, and management of corporate sponsors which are in line with her student's career aspirations.In her spare time, she volunteers and work with startup empowering organizations such as EYE program (www.eyeprogram.org) and Solve for X@HKUST initiative for Hong Kong innovator communities. In this role, she has a blast working closely with Google, X, Solve for X and bleeding-edge moonshot innovators from a wide variety of disciplines from both academia and the industry.
