Maintained and upgraded existing networking and hardware environment (real and virtualized) in office (development) and colocation (production) locations. Implemented the new game environments in an Amazon Web Services Virtual Private Cloud, and ensured that all servers and services in AWS would be relatively automatic: log management, monitoring (Nagios, Ganglia), database backup/recovery (Redis, VoltDB), job submission (Rundeck), analytics (Vertica, Cloudera Hadoop). Planned, projected and monitored AWS costs and growth, with a future deployment path.

Developed and deployed management and automation tools for Verity K2. Improved operational and search performance of Verity K2. Reduced Verity K2 data base build time from 3 weeks to 72 hours. Evaluated, selected, and deployed a replacement search engine, FAST Data Search. Developed and deployed migration and conversion plan, tools, and new program interfaces for Verity K2 to FAST Data Search conversion. Implemented monitoring tools to aid in trending, performance, and operational analyses of systems, networks, and applications.
