I learned the components that are involved with putting together offender's case files. I was taught how to navigate within and maintain multiple electronic and hardcopy offender files to assist with updating offender's files. I observed the interviews for offenders who are new intakes to addressing offender conditions of supervision. I learned about the difference between pre-sentence, in-state, and inter-state transfers, and how that affects the conditions of their respective offender release plans. I also was able to get an understanding of the sound decisions made concerning offender financial obligations, loss of liberty, sanctions, offender living arrangements, and treatment and education referrals.
