After my former businesses (Lebanon Compounding and On-Call Medical & Pharmacy) was acquired by Walgreens in 2014, I was hired directly as a Walgreens’ Pharmacist to facilitate and ensure a smooth transition of my company into the Walgreens organization and provide pharmacy services to drive growth in the local market. Some of my results have included:• Following the acquisition, achieved 107% of the customer retention goal for converting Lebanon Compounding and On-Call Medical & Pharmacy customers to Walgreens.• Contributed to the pharmacy ranking #1 in the district for overall operational performance.• Recognized by Walgreens’ management for strong patient relationships and high level of respect with multiple physician specialties in the local area.• Key contributor to the pharmacy’s role as central hub for the district’s Covid Vaccine Program by coordinating vaccine storage, monitoring, and distribution to the district’s other 12 locations.• Entrusted with pharmacy leadership roles during transitions over the years to new Pharmacy Managers.• Optimized clinical patient outcomes through implementation of Medication Therapy Management services.

I created the concept and launched On-Call Medical & Pharmacy in 1992 and then opened Lebanon Compounding in 2003. During this time, I led the efforts that managed and continued to expand the reputation of both businesses as highly respected, well-known providers of pharmacy services (retail, home infusion, compounding) and durable medical equipment.• Assisted patients and physicians with medication profiles and facilitated prior authorization for treatment.• Ensured compliance and credibility by securing JCAHO accreditation for all pharmacy and DME divisions.• Launched and grew a highly successful bio-identical hormone replacement therapy service.• Provided Medication Therapy Management services that improved overall patient results. • Educated physicians on different medications and treatment options for best clinical outcomes.• Maintained a “Class 10,000” clean room for chemotherapy compounding and worked with the hospital oncology department to prepare/deliver treatment to patients and instruct them on chemo pump use/troubleshooting.• Compounded respiratory medications and educated patients on inhalers, nebulizers, oxygen, CPAP’s, and BiPAP’s.• Provided PCA pumps to patients in the hospitals and used modem technology to remotely troubleshoot pumps.• Expanded the business to provide dose-packed medications for assisted living facilities and home health patients.• Created a diverse range of patient and provider education materials on different pharmacy and DME services.• Coordinated with numerous oncology, pain management, hospice, infectious disease, and enteral nutrition specialists to provide home infusion therapy services for local nursing agency.• Hired, trained, delegated tasks, and facilitated teamwork among up to 12 employees.• Served as a student preceptor for Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy.
