SHORT BIOLinda Sheridan,CEO and of San Diego Cultural Arts Alliance, has a 30 year history of working both in the public and private sector as a consultant, fundraiser, campaign manager, educator, project manager, executive director, municipal advocate, and studio artist. She has an undergraduate degreeis in Art History and a Master’s Degree in Religious Studies. When asked how she is able to find solutions to problems that didn’t seem to have an answer, she states that her education in art has allowed her to see things from different perspectives and possibilities than someone who has not had this training.In 1986 Ms. Sheridan was selected by the community to Co-Chair the Chicano Park and Murals Committee. At the end of this three year project, the park was accepted by the City as an official park of San Diego and monies were awarded to refurbish the murals in time fort the 25 year anniversary. Not long after this Linda Successfully lobbied San Diego's City's first purchased public art work, "Night Visions," by Roberto Salas, through the Balboa Park Board and City Council. Previously it had been turned down by both entities.More recently, in February of 2012, Linda was hired as Project Manager for the Martin Luther King Mural on the 94 Freeway in San Diego. This project had unsuccessfully gone on for over 13 years and Ms. Sheridan was able to guide the project to conclusion in January of 2013.Throughout the years her services have been engaged for business, political entities and arts organizations.
