In my role as Counsellor & Learning Leader for Student Services at Western Canada High School, I enjoyed the daily interactions with students and colleagues, especially when I could listen and help someone work through emotional struggles. During the 8 years in this role, & being a life-long learner, I continued to develop my skills and knowledge through professional reading and Professional Development opportunities, including training in Trauma Informed Practice, PTSD, The Neurosequential Model, Addictions, DBT, CBT, Anxiety & Depression, Suicide Prevention, and Social Anxiety, among other professional opportunities. Through my Rogerian, Strengths-based approach to therapy, I look forward to continuing to helping others find their best selves and best lives.
