Managing project of StarLIMS implementation at Island Energy Services Hawaii refinery.Installed and implemented StarLIMS on site servers after the refinery was sold by Chevron. I have been filling this role up until now and am in the process of turning it over to the lab users.

Contractor for client, Chevron Global Manufacturing/Refining via Analysts International Corp.Managed a project to implement StarLIMS on a local Cape Town set of servers and trained the local IT staff to provide support for the system. Implemented Spotfire interface to StarLIMS. Managed a half million dollar project to implement StarLIMS version 10 at a Chevron refinery outside the US. Performed lead application Business Analyst role on StarLIMS Version 10, Laboratory Information Management System, implementation project. Primary contact with vendor to ensure that the refining version of their system would accommodate Chevron refining's needs. Wrote business functional requirements for the system. Designed data depending upon business needs to fit into the system and to optimize the features of the system.Designed and wrote all data conversion software to convert prior custom written system's data into StarLIMS V10, using SQL scripts. Worked closely with key laboratory users at all refineries to ensure smooth implementations.Trained end users on working with the interface to report emissions to the California Air Resources Board. Developed software to allow end users to query data from any designated database view, selecting columns, comparison operators, and entering comparison values, with the output going directly to an Excel spreadsheet. I was also the primary software expert for the previous StarLIMS V9 system for more than a decade. Participated as senior technical analyst in the prior project to implement refining's Version 9 of StarLIMS at all of Chevron's North American refineries and a European refinery. Wrote all conversion software to convert data from prior LIMS systems into StarLIMS. Worked with end users and team. Received many notes of recognition and thanks from colleagues, former managers, and key users.

Managed a project to replace an client's internally written distribution system with Transcomm's system that included Sales Order Entry, Purchasing, Sales Analysis, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger applications. Worked with programmers and clients and company management to report on progress, assist clients, and ensure that the deliverables were correct.Worked on site at Baan in Barneveld, Netherlands and Santa Clara, CA.Assisted in providing distribution systems knowledge to the Baan manufacturing system.Also served as one of two leads for questions for the Sales Order Entry application development.Worked closely with the Purchasing and Manufacturing applications developers to ensure that those applications met the business needs and integrated properly with Sales Order Entry and adhered to the same standards.
