Polar Artists Group is an international society of polar artists dedicated to promoting awareness of the polar regions and effects of climate change on the environment and people through art, education, and special projects. It was founded as part of International Polar Year to build on the unique collaborative relationship between scientist and artist, increasing the public's awareness and understanding of polar science, creating a new medium for scientific outreach, and engaging artists in the early stages of research communications and outreach.
