During the pandemic, she worked FT as a business development specialist helping start-ups and existing businesses with their financial analysis, modeling, strategy, and marketing plans. She also led the COVID response as the economic development director and interim Chamber of Commerce director in SW Minnesota. She has secured over $10.23 million in government grants and led efforts for comprehensive city planning, market analysis, housing development, and tourism. Her diverse background provides the expertise necessary to effectively navigate government processes and bring projects forward for the betterment of future generations.Prior to becoming a solopreneur in 2005, she was corporate communications specialist for a large international manufacturer. As a one-person department, she shaped, led, and communicated the importance of continuous improvement principles: ISO 9001, LEAN, Voice of the Customer, and Six Sigma. She received her lead auditor designation for sustainability operations in 2024.Linda has been an adjunct instructor and curriculum writer for customized training at Lake Superior College and Ridgewater College, providing LEAN/Six Sigma/Project Implementation Training to healthcare, manufacturing, textiles, and construction industries. Today, she is recognized as an expert trainer in Minnesota and provides training on quality management systems, board governance, and early care education.Linda enjoys being deeply involved in her community. She served eight years on the Willmar Public School board, including serving as VP, overseeing a $72.6MM budget with the district achieving its highest enrollment during her tenure. She has held leadership roles in homeowner associations, nonprofits, and community initiatives, reflecting her commitment to civic engagement and service.
