Panorama Strategy is the social impact consulting arm of Panorama Group. As a Vice President, I help drive the strategic direction and growth of the overall enterprise, with specific responsibility for day-to-day management of Panorama Strategy. This includes setting strategic direction and developing business priorities and operations, managing finances and ensuring financial health of organization, ensuring consistent and high-quality service across projects and interactions with clients and partners, developing and managing a high-performing team, and modeling a culture of belonging/inclusion in which all team members feel valued and recognized as vital to advancing Panorama’s mission.

I lead the development and implementation of a policy, advocacy and communications strategy in partnership with the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WSH) program team to generate attention, mobilize resources, and catalyze policy changes necessary to best achieve the WSH strategy goals. A key part of this work was managing a $6 million portfolio of grants and contracts to support the execution of the strategy. In addition, I tracked key global policy developments and trends relevant to WSH, built and managed partnerships to advance our strategy, and contributed to the development of communications and outreach plans to seek external input and share the Foundation’s WSH strategy and impact of our investments.

I supported a number of issue-specific advocacy efforts, including polio eradication, vaccine delivery, and child health. Responsibilities included assisting in the design and execution of the advocacy strategies; identifying strategic advocacy opportunities targeting government leaders and developing corresponding briefing materials, strategy documents and presentations; managing grants to advocacy partners; and representing the foundation with external partners. One example of my work is the management of the Executive Committee of the United Against Malaria campaign, an effort that used the excitement of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa to galvanize political leadership on malaria. Executive Committee included Comic Relief, ONE, PATH, the United Nations Foundation and the United Nations Special Envoy for Malaria among others. - Participated in scoping and landscape analysis of maternal and child health advocacy community.

I managed and coordinated high-level international election observation missions to Nigeria, Mexico, Liberia, the West Bank & Gaza, Ukraine and Armenia. The specific duties included: development and oversight of mission strategy; creation of deployment, communication and security guidelines; managed election day reporting center; coordination between headquarters and field office; liaised with other observation missions; monitored political developments; briefed and trained delegation on observation methodology and election day reporting; and drafted public preliminary statements of findings and accompanying press releases.In addition, I assisted program staff in the design and implementation of election-related programming (international election observation, nonpartisan domestic election monitoring, political party pollwatching and electoral law reform), including participating in strategic planning sessions, recommending staff and trainers, drafting memorandums on best practices, and advising on training materials and other global resources.

In my role on the campaign, I recruited and trained precinct captains in West and North Las Cruces on building grassroots networks. Strategies included house meetings, debate watching parties, canvassing trips, phone-banking and other events.In addition, I managed central phone bank in Las Cruces, recruited and trained volunteers, and directed Dona Ana county program to provide meals for over 500 volunteers over five days, including 24 hours on election day.
