I am pleased to be taking on new duties at Shelburne Museum that include working more closely with sponsors and with the constituent groups that have as their mission the support of the Museum.

My chief responsibilities at the Museum are logistical management of our database and Annual Fund drives, gift acknowledgment and recognition, and working with our small team to cultivate our members, donors and the community through special events and communications. In 2013 I was on leave from this post for the year, occupied full-time in developing the administration of the Alliance Francaise of the Lake Champlain Region.

During the calendar year of 2013, I was on leave from Shelburne Museum, putting in an experimental year as paid professional administrator of the Alliance. The demands and opportunities that characterize the AFLCR led to this approach, overseen by a strategic planning group, and permitted the organization to broaden and deepen its educational offerings and community relations. The AFLCR is a regional chapter of this global organization dedicated to promoting French language and culture via public programs, French classes and conversation groups, and member activities.
