A professional director and leadership advisor, Linda Whitlock has won widespread respect for a strong record of effective management, board leadership, and public service. She served on the board of Cambridge Trust Company and was the board’s first Lead Director. She is on the board of the Red Sox Foundation, the largest foundation in professional sports, and serves on the President’s Advisory Committee at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she was a trustee. She is also on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors New England.Linda is the immediate past Nicholas President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. She has served on more than 20 corporate and non-profit boards, including the boards of the Boston Stock Exchange; two private equity portfolio companies, The Princeton Review and Penn Foster; Government Land Bank; and other leading companies in the real estate, financial services, arts and culture, and education sectors. In addition, she was a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of AesRx, a biopharmaceutical company acquired by Baxter.Linda taught at MIT, Tufts, and the University of Michigan, and was a Senior Fellow at Boston University’s School of Management. She served in the administrations of Massachusetts Governors Dukakis and King, and was appointed by Governors and Mayors to an array of boards and commissions.She has been recognized by the region's top business and civic institutions, including the Boston Business Journal, the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, the Anti-Defamation League, and Boston Magazine, and has been inducted into the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Academy of Distinguished Bostonians. Linda is an alumna of Mount Holyoke College, received her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and has been awarded honorary doctorates by Suffolk University, Babson College, and Pine Manor College. She has completed Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and the Aspen Institute’s Executive Seminar.
