Senior expert and work package lead for the Joint Action Towards the European Health Data Space. Contributing to the development of the European Health Data Space and its legislative proposal. Researched the barriers to secondary use and cross-border sharing of health data. Developed a mapping tool and carried out country visits in 12 different European countries on their data management procedures and preparedness for joining the EHDS. Formed and lead policy and project forums to provide platforms for relevant ministries and stakeholders to discuss the needs and expectations of the EHDS.

Lead the development of a proof of concept and business case for setting up a Distributed Infrastructure on Population Health. Carried out health information system assessment with WHO tool to peer review health information systems across Europe. Initiated the development of national nodes in partner countries and the set up of the European Population Health Information Portal.

Risk ranking of infectious diseases project in collaboration with ECDC. • Assisted in development and evaluation of a tool for risk ranking infectious diseases, planned to be used at EU level. • Performed data collection inspecting overall features of literature; assessed functions of risk ranking tools utilising mathematical modelling; adapted and advanced the current version to funders’ requests• Supported the development of a complementary handbook. • Acted as facilitator at an EU-wide workshop that took place on February 2017 at ECDC, Stockholm titled "ECDC Expert Consultation on Ranking and Prioritising Emerging Infectious Disease Threats for Preparedness".

Antwerp Area, Belgium

Provided support in data management for the Centre for Health Economics Research and Modelling Infectious Diseases of the University of Antwerp:• Examined measles outbreaks in Flanders from 2010 to 2015 and utilised data from all cases in Flanders and created groups for outbreaks (data management).• Used statistical program (R) to analyse distinctions between outbreaks (graphical location, size of outbreak-number of cases, and clusters) and constructed transmission trees.

• Coordinated breast cancer awareness project: prepared high-definition culturally appropriate lecture designs, contacted stakeholders in northers cities/villages and delivered lectures for public awareness, and took initiatives to collaborated with national NGOs and healthcare providers to increase awareness for breast cancer screening among Arab women in the north of Israel: including joint local events and joint initiative making screening available through mobile mammography unit. • Conducted strategic development workshops on regular basis to tackle health inequities in Galilee regions, while part of steering committee and member of The Civil Forum for Advancing Health in the Galilee region of Israel. • Developed research surveys to analyse unit activities and n charge of regular reporting to senior management and funders regarding NGO activities and projects.• Supported other general activities of the NGO such as dissemination (website maintenance, developing of infographics, social media, and representing the NGO at national conferences), support the other unit with joint conferences, and proposal developments in English for international funders.
