I enjoyed a 30-year career working for Wall Street investment banks selling international equities for Morgan Stanley, UBS, and HSBC. Over my career, I am most proud of my 25-year tenure at Morgan Stanley working in their Boston, New York, and Chicago offices. While with the storied firm, my Morgan Stanley work included starting an international equity sales desk in Chicago during a time of heavy IPO placement and European equity investment. After that, I relocated to Boston to establish another international equity sales desk where I helped deliver significant revenue growth, transformed at-risk relationships, and expanded existing accounts. After Morgan Stanley, I was recruited by UBS, and later by HSBC, where I successfully helped improve each of their European institutional equity businesses in the Boston market.Currently, I serve as an advisory board member for 5 Star Background Checks, Inc., and am a founding member of the Private Directors Association (PDA) of New England, an organization focused on enhancing private company value through the use of boards of directors and advisory boards. As an active member of PDA, I sit on the New England Leadership Committee and serve as co-chair of the New England Sponsorship Committee as well as co-chair of the National Sponsorship Committee. To further prepare for board leadership, I completed the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) New England Chapter Aspiring Public Company Director daylong program and have achieved a Private Company Governance certificate through PDA.I believe my experiences on Wall Street, combined with my committee work and education with PDA, have positioned me to be an ideal independent board director. I honed my expertise in bull and bear markets, IPOs and secondaries, the tech bubble, and the European sovereign and banking crisis, giving me the ability to manage through challenges calmly and with integrity while serving as a trusted advisor for C-level executives, business leaders, and clients. Outside of my career, I am proud to have dedicated 30 years practicing Ashtanga yoga up to five early mornings per week. This experience has given me perspective, discipline, and a calm and curious demeanor. I’ve also spent over 15 years in systems-centered practice workshops, a form of group dynamics. The goal of the practice is to resolve group issues productively. Between my yoga practice, daily meditation, my systems-centered group work, I bring a calming presence, even in times of crisis and uncertainty.
