It is a small, entrepreneurial group operating independently within the larger Shoppers/Loblaw organization. Challenge: On Dec 2019 - MCbyS had missed ALL annual business targets. Reporting to head of Shoppers' cannabis organization, challenge was to completely revamp offline and online marketing approach in order to drive increased patient acquisition and sales with ever-decreasing budget. Solution & Results: By Dec 2020 - Completely redefined entire online/offline marketing strategy; Implemented numerous consumer-facing conversion- and awareness-oriented tactics (social, SEO, paid media, UX, ecom, CRM, grass roots, WOM). Monetized site through new Paid Partner Program; drove dramatic increases in KPIs including 1000% increase in customer acquisition and 300% increase in site conversion rate. Despite original budget being decreased by 50%, by the last period of 2020 (despite COVID), we were hitting (or exceeding) all ambitious targets.
