I'm an experienced leader, passionate about tech/digital equity and the idea that there's room at the table for everyone to work and thrive in tech. My north stars are: nurturing diversity, building networks, developing high-performing and creative teams, future-focused strategy and energizing community! I believe the keys to exciting people about a tech career is mapping passion to tech and ensuring success by measuring and inculcating digital literacy into programs. My passion is helping people realize tech careers and empower economic mobility, leveraging technology and communications to solve complex problems and leading with good old-fashioned emotional intelligence. I'm a veteran of the private IT sector with strengths in communication, law, and global leadership. I graduated cum laude from Butler University with a BA in Journalism. In 2008, I earned my Juris Doctor from Indiana University. I'm also a Certified Scrum Master. I've led global digital and mobile projects with diverse teams and agencies as well as served as an executive sponsor for employee resource groups and on committees to evangelize diversity. In my position was as Vice President of the School of Information Technology at Ivy Tech Community College, I provided professional leadership in the development of quality standards, ensured curriculum was relevant to the tech industry, designed new credentials in response to market demand, collaborated with the Office of Diversity and community to address issues of diversity, equity and access to tech education, and partnered with employers to (re)design talent pipelines and serve as advisors to curriculum and programming.
