The Commercial Tenants Association represents the interests of lease and license holders in the UK. It strives for the commercial property market to be fair and equitable for all, and for tenants to be treated as valued customers. Responsible for driving membership and ensuring members are fully engaged, I am also leading the CTA Alliance which aims to foster strategic relationships with like-minded organisations and industry experts to enhance and amplify the CTA voice on all issues affecting commercial tenants, and driving change together.

The Trade Association Forum (TAF) is an independent umbrella body for all kinds of association and membership organisation in the UK, with support from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The Forum represents members covering all sectors and actively works to promote the role of trade associations to government and other stakeholders. The fostering and promotion of excellence and adoption of best practice within the UK’s trade associations is of paramount importance to our activities.Responsible for the day to day management of the Forum and ensuring the Forum meets its statutory obligations as a company limited by guarantee, I lead a small team and in the process, provide professional advice and guidance on all operational activities for those in our sector, and identify the needs of Members to ensure they are kept informed of practical issues affecting them.

Focus on the dissemination of best practice relating to all areas of their activity via an active knowledge hub and events programme.

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is a trade association for those companies involved in all aspects of the manufacture of flat glass and associated products and services for all types of glazing. Covers both the commercial and domestic sectors.I was responsible to the Chief Executive and the Board and covered a wide range of activities, but primarily concentrated on recruitment and retention matters. I held the position as Secretary for the GGF Board and General Council and acted as the Company Secretary, discharging GGF's legal responsibilities. Annual liaison with industry trade unions with regard to wage negotiations was also a key responsibility, as were the development of new services and benefits to Federation Members.

The British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) is the trade body for UK and Irish steelwork contractors and the wider structural steelwork supply chain. I provided support to the Director of Legal and Contractual Affairs, and all BCSA's Technical Consultants.The Steel Construction QA Scheme (SCQAS) is a third party certification body for the steel construction industry. I established and administered the Scheme and was responsible for the provision, organisation and delivery of training for member companies on the subject of BS EN ISO 9000:1994 for Quality Management Systems.
