Cabinet level executive responsible for the master planning, maintenance, operation, and improvement of high school district's real estate portfolio, comprising thirteen comprehensive high school campuses, two adult education centers and a district administrative center throughout the neighborhoods of eastern San Jose. The 560 acre portfolio included streets, parking lots, sidewalks, walking paths, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, distributed utilities including power, gas, water, communications, landscaped and hardscaped plazas and open space, athletic facilities, and 2.5 million square feet of classroom, laboratory, office, athletic, student union, performance, enterprise and support facilities. Strategized and effected the transformation of higher education campuses through management of the award-winning second phase of the District's capital construction program at Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College, plus off-campus locations. The program included new construction, building modernization, seismic upgrades, building demolition, athletic facilities, infrastructure and utility upgrades, accessibility upgrades and site work improvements. Created, managed and then disbanded a high performing blended team of employees, independent contractors and business partner staff for a six-year assignment, providing comprehensive program/project/financial management and communications services for the District’s $800 million capital construction program. Directed the master planning, procurement, design, construction, furnishing and equipping, move management and operational transition of over 100 concurrent capital construction projects on operational campuses ranging in value from $15k to $250m.
