In partnership with the Board of Directors, the CEO takes the leadership role in strategic planning, donor cultivation and fundraising, financial and managerial controls, and serves as vice president of the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center (MYAC). Together with the Executive Director of MYAC and the Managing Director of First Stage, provides administrative leadership for MYAC, including but not limited to budget, fundraising, personnel, security, scheduling and public relations and serves ex officio on the MYAC Board of Directors.

Professional musician, oboe and English horn having performed with every significant performing arts organization in Southeastern Wisconsin ranging from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to Present Music, and with more than 8 recording credits with national recognition. Teaching experience includes university and conservatory levels as well as a strong private studio with students from beginners to adults.

Oversees all finance and investment, audit and compliance, fund allocations, operations, human resources, marketing, public relations, communications, and special events and is a key player in evolving the strategic direction of UPAF. Responsibilities and accountability include • Strategic direction, development and oversight of all financial and operational activities• Execution and management of $7.5M fund allocation to 34 UPAF Members and Affiliates• Strategic direction, development and oversight of UPAF's signature annual fundraising event, UPAF’s Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite. This event incorporates approximately 500 volunteers, 7,000 participants and raises nearly $600,000 annually in support of the UPAF annual Campaign.

Oversees all community relations and marketing activities, including written and verbal communications, public and media relations, standard and crisis communication plans, direct marketing and branding initiatives, collateral creation and development. In addition, oversees UPAF’s signature fundraising event, UPAF’s Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite and all fund allocation formula development and activities for UPAF Members and Affiliates. Responsibilities and accountability include • Strategic vision and direction, development and execution of comprehensive community relations plans including stewardship and strategic initiatives designed to positively position the performing arts as integral to the vitality and health of the region, congruent with the organization’s strategic plan• Budget creation and implementation, financial forecasting• Proactively participate in donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities, relationship building, and channel development including key leadership donors, community influencers and organizations• Serve as an internal consultant and partner sector-wide to develop and construct internal and external communications addressing emerging community issues and donor concerns• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all UPAF constituencies

Created, developed, implemented and managed the Performing Arts Community Enrichment (PACE) program. The PACE Program provided resources, including current research and nationally recognized leaders in the nonprofit sector, to expand the organizational capacity, development and support of UPAF’s 36 Member and Affiliate organizations. In addition, administered the annual $8 million allocation process to UPAF’s Members and Affiliates.

Oversees all finance and investment, audit and compliance, fundraising and development, marketing, communications and public relations, operations, human resources and community outreach and education programs of the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra in order to achieve the orchestra’s mission and is its primary strategic leader.Throughout tenure, a reorganization of the governance structure was completed, earned income significantly improved (65% earned income in 2003-04), maintained and increased resources (2004-05 annual fund increased 40.5%), enlarged our audience base in both subscription (15% increase in total subscriptions; 154% new subscribers over 2003-04) and single ticket holders, added artistic programs, expanded educational programs (400%) and increased base of support.

Responsible and accountable for the management of the surgical pathology department and the supervision of 8 medical transcriptionists and administrative assistants. Support coordination for 10 Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital faculty/staff pathologists and 15+ surgical pathology residents. Department liaison between Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Dynacare Laboratories.
