I have a BS in Accounting from Montana State University - Billings. I worked for a number of years for a small accounting practice in Laurel, Montana while I was obtaining my degree. In 1993 I opened my own practice in Absarokee, Montana. I specialize primarily in tax, but we also do payroll, compilations and business consulting.I have served on the Memorial Hospital Association board of directors since 2000 and I completed my third term as Board President in May, 2008. During my tenure, this Critical Access Hospital completed a joint venture with a major tertiary care center in Montana and began the process of replacing the aging facility. I was awarded the Volunteer fo the Year for 2007 from Beartooth Hospital and Health Center, the Regional Trustee of the Year for 2007 from Billings Clinic and the 2008 Montana Hospital Association Trustee of the Year award. In the spring of 2013 I received the Ben Karas Service award from the Memorial Hospital Association.I am also a member of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (formerly ASWA), serving on numerous committees for the local chapter. I served on the national board of the AFWA Educational Foundation from 2005-2008 and was chair from 2005-2007. In 2004 I was the recipient of the national AFWA Educational Foundation Woman of the Year Balance Award. I am currently the National President for AFWA.I am also a member of the Montana Society of CPAs, currently serving on the Continuing Professional Education committee. In 2009, Montana Governor Schweitzer appointed me to the Montana Board of Public Accountants. I serviced as Board Chair for 2013-2014 and 2015-2016.Specialties: My firm specializes in individual, corporate and non-profit tax preparation. I also have experience in all aspects of small business operations - i.e. bookkeeping, payroll, computer consulting.
