Linda M. Elizaitis, R.N., RAC-CT, B.S., CDS, has extensive expertise in post-acute and long-term health care. Prior to forming CMS Compliance Group, Linda was Vice President of Associated Geriatric Information Network, Inc. (AGIN, Inc.), an industry-leading consulting group.Linda oversees the development of quality improvement programs, system correction/ enhancement related to Immediate Jeopardy citations, Directed Plans, Directed Inservice, development and implementation of plans of correction, informal dispute resolution preparation, regulatory compliance reviews, and new program development for CMSCG’s clients. Her extensive hands-on experience includes the opening, closing and relocation of post-acute facilities, medical litigation reviews, adult day care regulatory compliance, program development for risk management, rehabilitation nursing, and pressure ulcer prevention, compliance reviews for assisted living and long-term home health care programs.Her nursing background includes serving as a long-term care Director of Nursing, and prior to that as a surgical ICU Head Nurse. Linda speaks regularly on key compliance issues including survey preparation, including recently for LeadingAge and McKnight’s “Super Tuesdays.” She is a frequent speaker at NYSHFA’s Nurse Leadership Programs and has been published on ADVANCE for Long Term Care Management, About.com Assisted Living, HCPro PPS Alert and in Provider. She is a Distinguished Graduate of St. Joseph’s College, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration, and is a graduate of the Sewickley Valley Hospital of Nursing.

A certified gerontological nurse, she has been published in Provider, a national long-term care health publication.
