Studied at the Royal Northern College of Music where I was awarded the Freckleton Prize for Singing. Appeared as soloist throughout Europe and North America in opera and oratorio. Recent highlights include the Royal Opera at Covent Garden (Aspasia in Mitridate) and the Rossini in Wildbad Festival in Germany (Countess, Le Comte Ory). I have appeared extensively in oratorio and toured Europe with Marc Minkowski and Les Musiciens du Louvre singing the Angel in Handel's Resurrection. Recordings include Bellante in Handel's Almira on the CPO label and Countess de Formoutiers in Rossini's Le Comte Ory on the Naxos Label. In January 2009 Almira was featured on the BBC Radio 3 Handel Opera Series to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Handel's death.Specialties: Coloratura soprano. Rossini, Mozart, Handel, Bach, Vivaldi.
