After spending over 20 years working in Marketing at Microsoft, I am pursuing my lifetime passion for fitness and wellness with a goal of helping women live well longer. What I realized is that getting older doesn’t have to mean settling for less, but most fitness gyms aren’t focused on the needs of the 40+ female market who are often experiencing life altering changes in their body, mind, and spirit. Many women choose to give up or continue doing the same workouts they did in their 20s or 30s which no longer serve them. At Studio Bloom we meet women where they are by understanding individual goals, surfacing limiting beliefs that may be holding them back, and building a program that best serves the client needs. At the core of our practice is a science backed approach to greater mobility, strength, balance and agility to move the way you want and feel good in your body.Our program is based on knowledge gained through academics but more importantly, years of personal experience as I evolved from an elite level athlete to a mom to an active ager who still wants to enjoy life and all of my recreational activities. I am an ACSM Certified Personal Training Coach, an ISSA Certified Functional Aging Specialist, and a former gymnast at Oregon State University where I earned several accolades including Pac-10 All Decade Team and Academic All-American. In 2007, I was inducted into the Washington State Gymnastics Hall of Fame.I graduated with a master’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Utah and served as the balance beam and strength & conditioning coach for the University of Washington Gymnastics program. For 20 years, I consulted with young athletes in the area of Sport Psychology, focused on elevating performance potential.Now, I am focused on building fitness programs and services that meet the needs of women who want to maintain an active lifestyle and live well longer.
