My career has included working within communications, publishing, design, print, marketing, advertising, PR, multimedia, and event management. As a publishing director I co-founded the highly successful Colchester Connected and Business Connected magazines, along with their associated networking events, which brought people and ideas together in meaningful, collaborative and productive ways. My journey also led me into performance coaching in 2006, after I was privileged to train in the USA with Cellular Biologist Dr Bruce Lipton and other inspiring leaders in the field of epigenetics. Outside my role as a director at Green Square I dedicate my time to causes that matter deeply to me. I volunteer for local charities and organisations who provide care, support and activities for the community, as well as assistance for those experiencing homelessness and hardships. These opportunities to 'give back' are a way of expressing my immense gratitude for the support I have received during challenging times in my own life, including trauma and homelessness. It is through volunteering, which I find fulfilling in every way, that I am grateful to have learnt invaluable lessons in humility and humanity.My passions for kindness, integrity, personal growth and education are inspired by the belief that we can all “be the change we wish to see in the world.” I strive each day to live by this mantra, always seeking to be a better version of myself, whilst embracing the joy of 'giving back' whenever I can.In my free time I enjoy contributing to local history through involvement in various archaeology, historic buildings and military heritage projects. A highlight most recently for me has been collaborating with two wonderful ‘military heritage enthusiasts’ to create and unveil the befitting Colchester Royal Artillery (Le Cateau) Barracks Commemorative Monument - a self-funded project that was born out of a shared vision three years ago - www.colchesterrab.org.
